Module 5 - Visual Aids in Presentations Discussion Post

Q In this module, we’re discussing the use of visual aids in presentations. Discuss the positive and negative aspects of using videos in presentations. In your discussion, imagine scenarios where you are presenting face-to-face or online. The discussion forums are designed to simulate live class discussions, so please use your own words and give a substantive reply to at least 2 peers to earn full credit. This is a "post first" forum, which means you must first post your response to the discussion prompt before you can see any other posts. Posting a blank response will result in a zero score. 60% of the points are awarded for your initial response to the prompt, 20% for your first substantive response to a peer, and 20% for a second substantive response to a peer. To earn full credit the original post must be a minimum of 6 substantial sentences. The replies (try to pick students that do not yet have replies, if possible) need to be at least 3 substantial sentences adding to the post. Good job or I agree does not count.

Learning has become very much interactive in nature and from that perspective use of visual aids in presentations it is really remarkable as it makes the process of learning intuitive. When videos are used for explaining critical topics then the visuals appeal to our brain and cognitive function, thereby making the process of learning really interesting. When I imagine situations like face-to-face presentation or online classes surely the advantages stand out.
